Can I just say....

...that yesterday was possibly one of the best days out I have had in a long, long time. Thank you, Ali, for making it such a fantastic day!

I mentioned in yesterday's blog that the two of us were heading out to Gatcombe Horse Trials with our cameras. The weather forecast was crap quite frankly but, undaunted, we drove 200 miles in the miserable rain determined to enjoy ourselves anyway.

But someone was looking down on us because the rain stopped, the skies started to brighten, then brighten a bit more. Then there was a bit of blue sky, and a little more, then the sun came out and shone on us for the rest of the day.

I have taken over 300 photographs and am still in the process of trawling through them but I thought I'd share with you a few of the outakes from the water jump!

  3. You had the same weather as us at Kemble. Today I am suffering from sunburn - my face is afire! Good pics from water jump. My photo subjects were a little less skittish and with a little more horsepower!

  7. Ha Ha! I lost count of the amount of times I said "that was SUCH a great day" - and it was, one of the best! Thank YOU for suggesting it and for driving a squillion miles in the horrible wet to get us there.

It was a brilliant day in all ways and just what was needed.

Super outtake shots, it looks like you got some good 'uns there! I managed a quick peek at my lot earlier and hope to give them some attention tomorrow.

Thank you so much for such a good day out. I could keep repeating my lament, but sooner or later you will want to murder me! :-)
