And we're off!

We are leaving at lunchtime today for a family camping trip.

Every year, Himself's family have this get together and it's soemthing I really look forward to. There is usually about 25 of us and we play games or go for long walks and just be together as a family. I love it because no-one is expected to do anything they don't want to do, so I use it as an excuse to chat or sit in quiet contemplation with my book. I don't often get a chance to just sit and read all day.

This year is slightly different as I had already got the weekend booked to do a fundraising show for Greyhound Gap. But as the show isn't too far from where we camp, I can combine the two.

Organising everything is a logistical nightmare as not only do we have to take all the camping gear but I also need to sort out everything we need for the show.

I am anticipating a lot of swear words as we pack the cars this morning!

See you all on Sunday!

  1. have a great time and I hope the weather's better with you than it is here in Cornwall!

  2. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have good weather.

  3. Have a wonderful camping event. I think that would be a prodigious challenge with Booker ... he wouldn't sleep all night, listening and smelling the great outdoors.
