This time last year.

This time last year we had friends round and were sitting in the garden having dinner. I had a gazebo up because I was concerned that it would be too warm to sit in the sun.

Now, I still have the central heating on and a fire lit. And there is still frost in the mornings.

Variety is the spice of life they say.

  1. I think this is normal weather for April, which is reassuring. Let's just hope it doesn't feel like November in July again

  3. Thats because all the good weather is being stored up for May for the Show this year. Or at least I hope it is, I cant bear another year standing 10hrs dithering with cold, soaking wet and trying my best to smile and look like im having the time of my life!

  4. Yeah... I've been remembering stuff I did this time last year too... it was GORGEOUS!

Still, as hutters said... this is actually more characteristic of April.

  8. my daughter Karmyn & I were just discussing the c-c--c-old. In fact our forecast for the weekend includes snow flurries.
Tonight I've asked the hubby to light the fire place.

  9. I can't decide if it's just a mental thing, because Easter was so early this year, or if Spring really is taking its sweet time getting here. It seems like the trees aren't leafy enough and the flowers aren't bloomy enough for this time of year. And cold, yes, it's way too cold, even when the sun is shining.
