I'm thinking about buying myself another small TV for the bedroom.
I'm thinking that there are some nights, especially now winter is coming, when it would be nice to curl up in bed with the Hounds around me and doze in front of the TV.
The problem is that I am having trouble justifying it to myself. There's only me here and I have a perfectly good TV in the lounge. A lounge with a log fire and a comfy sofa. So why do I need a TV for the bedroom as well?

Unfortunately, I'm still suffering from this damp weather, I only feel good
when I'm sitting and not doing any physical moves.
Fortunately, we started t...
So that you can curl up in bed and watch tv. You totally need to do that, just because.
ReplyDeleteBecause you deserve it... and when you want to drift off to sleep you're already in bed. Go for it!
ReplyDeleteWant has nothing to do with need. So take that word out of the equation! Now, why do you WANT it? Sounds good to me ... and what a lovely "separation present" from you for you ALL for you!
ReplyDeleteI fully agree! My Dad always used to say to me, ‘Whatever makes YOU happy, makes ME happy!’ If you want it & can swing it … just go for it and ENJOY!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Because you can....! Gor for it, you deserve to satisfy your own desires.
ReplyDeleteGo on if you want one, you can also get tv's that you can put on a timer so if you fall asleep they go off automatically after a set time, ideal tv for the bedroom!
ReplyDeleteI've said before, bedrooms are for two things and tv ain't it, BUTTT, if you do, the timer is a must!
ReplyDeleteSleeping with that noise in the background isn't sound sleep. You'll feel awful in the am.
It has to be a personal decision - my personal decision is that I don't allow TVs in the bedroom. I like to keep the bed for sleeping and resting and playing -- not for TV watching. Although I have to say, my bedroom has almost nothing in it. It is the only room in the house that is so sparse...The rest of my house is for living and has all the "stuff" lol
ReplyDeleteIt just depends on how you want to live. I know lots of people who can't live without a bedroom TV.
Happy decision making!

A double whammy - you can wake up in the morning, turn on the TV and receive another load of bad financial news!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a tv in the bedroom which is rarely used. But! When it IS used it's usually by me when Gregg is out of town and in the colder months when there is nothing finer in this world then snuggling into a nice warm bed with a cup of hot chocolate and watching old movies. I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteBecause you want one. Simple enough :)
ReplyDeleteYep you should get one for sure.
ReplyDeleteI say go for it too because it will make you happy and be some company. We have a tv in our bedroom but we never sit in there together and watch tv or watch it from the bed. I turn it on when I am making the bed or for a Sunday afternoon nap or folding clothes. It's nice to have it. But I do watch it from the bed when I'm by myself if I feel like it.
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to justify it, if you want one and think it might be handy do it. The good thing is if you get only a small one it's not too expensive. I think it's time you treated yourself to the occasional thing :)
ReplyDeleteMy Friend Marisa (owner of two lovely lurchers... or should that be owned by?!) thinks the TV in the bedroom sounds like a top idea!! ... as she is lying on her sofa with one of her dogs keeping her feet warm!
