Fun Monday. Fail.

I am so disappointed that once again I am bowing out of Fun Monday. I was really looking forward to this one.

This week's assignment, should you be more organised than I, is being hosted by iPost over at Nine Acres, and it's all about doodling!

So my excuse this week? Well, a doodle is not something you can just throw together. Doodling is an art form and you have to do it without thinking about it. It comes from your sub-conscious. Which is why I can't throw together a post now. Last week at work was completely mental. I had Board papers to get out and it most of the papers I needed were going back and forth for final corrections and well, you know how it can get. So time on the telephone, when I would usually doodle, was spent doing that more manic thing.....twisting a pen round and round my fingers.

So I apologise to iPost and I am going to try to do this anyway and post it later in the week.

  1. Hey Girl, I totally get you. It's all good.

I spent six hours on a bus trip Saturday, slept most of Sunday, and am NOT a doodler.

So I cheated and had my kid do it.

  2. I can totally relate - my doodle was actually a result of work !

  3. If your Board was like mine before I retired I totally get your preoccupation. We spent a month getting ready for the board meeting and a month afterwards with work assignments that came out of the meeting.

  5. don't forget, it's supposed to be 'fun' monday, not high pressure monday. You have a lot on your plate right now, don't worry about missing out on a doodle.

  6. As Rayne said it is meant to be fun and so don't put yourself under pressure. If you do manage to doodle later in the week I will look forward to seeing your artistry!

  7. Catching up on my blog reading; this is a response to the TV in the bedroom question: If you want it, get it, you deserve to pamper yourself right now (well actually all the time but particularly right now) It's cheaper than therapy, maybe?

  8. I found myself in much the same dilemma as you on Monday because I failed to plan ahead and check the prompt. I’m hoping to participate next Monday and as I type this, I realize I don’t yet know who’s hosting and should probably check that out. Thanks for following up with photos …it definitely looks like an evening to remember and a great bunch of friends ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,
